Hi there,
Today I want to share with you what happens when you genuinely help someone.
Presently I am not working. I am a fulltime mom with three children, one a 15 month old baby girl.
I hardly have much time to myself but I am grateful for what I have.
My good friend is having problems with her last son who is almost 18 and seems to be an alcholic.
I recommended that she enrole him in a military programme,so that he gets the discipline he needs and the help he should get. I dont believe she or anyone in her position should put the boy out of the house and into the streets, even though according to her he has broken items in the house and has verbally and physically abused her. She is afraid he will be jailed if she approached the courts but I dont think so.
The boy is threatening her daily because he believes that he is an adult and she cant do anything to touch him. Just the other day she (the mother) called me crying, begging for me to help her. The most I can do is to give advise which, I think she should take him before the courts and ask the magistrate to put him in a military programme because he will have an opportunity to finish his schooling which he didnt because he has been drinking since he was 15 and he will also learn a trade and become certified in this. He will also get the discipline he needs to become a stronger better person and will be an asset to society instead of a burden he may become if she allows him to continue his behaviour.
She doesnt have much money but she says she is grateful for my advise. I was longing for a pair of slippers and do you know I got a pair from my friend. She said it may be my style and size and that it looked like me.
It pays to be grateful.
